Jefferson County Public Schools has one of the largest candidate pools for the school board in recent history. Fifteen candidates are vying for three school board seats. Join Devin Katayama and 89.3 WFPL News for a series of three debates that will explore the pressing issues facing the school system.
The debates will be held at Louisville Public Media (619 S. Fourth St.) on three consecutive Tuesdays, beginning on September 18 with District 2 continuing on September 25 with District 4, and concluding on October 2 with District 7. Kentucky's new accountability system has taken effect, and the board's decisions will be crucial while schools, students and teachers adjust.
