Louisville Public Media Posts Best January Ever in Business Sponsorship Revenue Despite Market Downturn

Louisville Public Media has announced that the Corporate Support Department has posted its highest-ever revenue for the month of January. Manager Gray Smith points to the 8% increase over last January’s record as further proof that LPM underwriting continues to be the best value in the market for reaching a large, quality audience.January 2009’s underwriting record is the climax to positive results in 2008. Smith and his staff hit their sales goals every month during a very difficult year for business and media in particular. Smith says, “This is just further affirmation that we offer a great value and we have good folks working a good plan” and that “LPM’s clients are happy with their results”.Louisville is one of only a handful of cities served by three non-commercial public radio stations. It became a one-of-a-kind entity in January 1996 with the creation of the Public Radio Partnership (now Louisville Public Media), a private, not-for-profit corporation charged with operating all three stations. The three FM stations of Louisville Public Media are 89.3 WFPL, Louisville’s NPR News Station, Classical 90.5, Louisville’s Fine Arts Station and 91.9 WFPK, Radio Louisville. For more information on Louisville Public Media business sponsorship opportunities, please contact Director of Corporate Support Gray Smith at gsmith@louisvillepublicmedia.org or (502) 814-6521.
